PROJECT FREEDOM
“ If I have the power to make a difference, I should put it to good use. ” — Kira Yamato, Mobile Suit Gundam SeedBEFORE APRIL FOOLS DAYProject FREEDOM was still in planning stage until yesterday. What was the planning? I need to first have access to the most important element of any project... THE TOOLS!!!!!

This is the basic tool set I got from
Guan Hock Lee which cost $40. Original Price was $41.90. The set consists of a side cutter, knife, file, tweezers and 2 screw drivers (a + and a -).
NEXT are the
GUNDAM MARKERS!!!!!

I actually got these Markers before the tool set above. As you can see there is a set markers and two fine point markers for paneling.
I was kinda busy last night but still manage to finish constructing the interior body. Lets see how it looks....

Can't really tell you much at this stage alone. I actually went on to put on the body frame and took a few picture but didn't have the time to upload to my laptop yet. Will keep this updated....

3 April 2010, 5pmFinally finished building the upper body of Freedom, cut mu finger during the process and the painful and bloody incident has prompt me to put invest few bucks to bring in some sand paper to my list of tools.

Here is the body with frame completed.

Both arms is done. Can't believe how complex it was just to build the arms.

Not sure what you call these parts, I guess these are the shoulder cover :)

So with all the parts join together we got the AWESOME upper body done (except the head). Whew..... Can't wait to start building the other parts.
Soooooo...... stay tuned people.

What a weekend!!!! There is just so much to do and I am starting to hope that Naruto's ninjutsu exists in reality so I can learn his Kage Bushin no Jutsu to multiply myself to be at different place doing different thing at the same time.
There is a story behind why I was customizing this blog for most of the whole Saturday. My brother bought the SD Freedom and Exia from Chong Hock!!!!!! And he was using my tools to excitedly build his new toys. So being a good big brother I decided to take some break from Gundam building and side track a bit to Blog customizing.
Anyway I put more time to building the Freedom again Sunday afternoon.

Here is a part I don't know what you should call. I guess you call it the waist. Basically its the part which connects the upper and lower body. This part my look simple but there is a lot going on inside this part.

The foot of Freedom. I was a bit amazed by the size of the foot at first. "Wow this is like size 15 shoe!!!" was what went through my mind.

The interior of the Freedom's right leg. After I was done with this part, I was like "Whew!!!!!" and start thinking IF I really should get a Perfect Grade
hmmmmm.....

While I was cutting the frame and sanding the nubs away, I noticed I accidentally left one of the piece of the leg interior unattached and had to open it and attach it and reassemble. Let's see if you noticed which piece I am talking about :)

Here you go. The right leg of Freedom. It might look simple but i assure you i took about 2 hours building the ONE whole leg and most of the time is actually spend on sanding away the nubs of the frame. There are lots of
scratches on the frame that is not visible in the picture. Painting is
necessary now i.e. more money to be spend
T.TMy wallet is burning......

I got to say after I put the parts together I feel motivation burning inside me. I AM GOING TO FINSIH THIS!!!! If you are wondering why I havn't done the head yet, let's just say I made it my ritual to build the head last when I build my Gundam. Will keep you guys posted.
